Studied drums at conservatory in Žilina and later pedagogy of music in 1997-2002. He is a member of front jazz bands as for example Nothing but Swing Trio, Klaudius Kováč Trio, Tomáš Gajlík Trio, Lucia Lužinská and All Time Jazz, the Triology, Róbert Opatovský Swing and Lati n Band, Michal Bugala Group, Štěpán Markovič Quintet, V4 Octet – an international project, Soul for Seven. Peter Solárik has also cooperated with icons of Slovak jazz scene (Gabo Jonáš, Matúš Jakabčic, Juraj Bartoš) and with world-known musiacian such as Scott Hamilton (USA), Harry Sokal, (AT), Jánusz Muniak (PL), Piotr Baron (PL). He has performed on many festivals – Brati slava Jazz Days (two times), Brno Jazz Fest (three times), Jazz Fest Green Bay 2005 (USA), then festivals in Prešov, Košice, Marti n, Zelená Voda, Krakow, Warsaw, Kielce, Zakopané, Štiavnica…
He organizes jazz concerts for grammar schools and conservatories. In April 2009, he established a drum player competi ti on for art school pupils. Together with doc. István Sabó, he is an art leader of the Perculogy Ensamble drums orchestra at J. L. Bell Conservatory in Banská Bystrica. Peter Solárik is the establisher of Percussion Summit Festival and of an educational project for high schools called Jazz Goes to School
